Successful surgical treatment of giant echinococcosis of the left lung that broke into the bronchus in a 12-year-old child
Abstract
The article considers a case of treatment of a patient with a giant echinococcal cyst of the lower lobe of the left
lung, complicated by a breakthrough into the bronchi and multiple cystabronchial fistulas.
Comprehensive examination of patients using modern diagnostic methods (chest X-ray and MSCT, ultrasound)
increases the effectiveness of the diagnosis of a complicated form of echinococcosis of the lungs.
Timely surgical treatment with careful suturing of 8 bronchial fistulas in the complex treatment of the patient
made it possible to eliminate cystic bronchial fistulas and create conditions for the elimination of the residual
cavity.
