The article presents the results of a rare clinical observation that is of significant interest in
emergency neurosurgery: a patient with penetrating traumatic brain injury and an intracranial foreign body that damaged the left temporal lobe, the structures of the base of the
middle cranial fossa and the wall of the sphenoid sinus. Successful removal of the foreign
body from the skull was a key point in the effectiveness of emergency medical care, which
minimized potential complications and ensured a full recovery for the patient
