Abstract
Objective. Comparative evaluation of the results of surgical treatment of acetabulum injuries during the
use of various surgical approaches, taking in to account the features of fractures.
Маterial and methods. In 2015–2020 years, in the department of trauma consequences of the SI of
Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, 80
patients were operated with fractures in the acetabulum. There were 64 men (80%), 16 women (20%).
Traffic accidents were the cause of injuries in 69 (86%) of patients, catatrauma in 11 (14%).
Results. Long-term results in the period from 6 months to 5 years after internal osteosynthesis with
the use of surgical approaches Kocher-Langenbeck and extended ilio-femoral were studied in 50 (81%)
patients. Excellent results according to the Harris scale were obtained in 36 (72%) patients, good – in 9
(18%) and satisfactory – in 5 (10%) ones. In all cases, complete fracture consolidation was achieved.
Conclusion. The main goal of treating victims should be not only to preserve life, but also to perform
operations to stabilize bone fragments as soon as possible by choosing the right surgical access.
