Abstract
Over the past 100 years, with the rapid development of information and medical technology in the world,
certain conditions of CVD have been treated with a surgical or interventional method.
Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals with the catheter treatment of diseases of the
heart and great vessels. Interventional interventions on the coronary arteries in acute forms of ischemic heart
disease, in particular, primary angioplasty is currently the gold standard. Annually, only in the United States,
PCI is performed in 1.3-1.4 million patients.
Currently, the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid is a favorite in providing emergency care
to patients with acute pathologies. It is worth noting that about 70,000 patients receive EMF in our center every
year. According to international recommendations and protocols, since 2008, since the installation of a digital
angiographic apparatus, our center has been providing various interventions to patients with acute pathologies
of cardiovascular diseases.
This article describes the work of the interventional cardiology service in the emergency medical care system.
