Abstract

The clinical case related to idiopathic lung alveolitis, a rare disease, is described in the article.
A 24-year-old male patient was brought to the Republican Emergency Medical Center with a
referral diagnosis of «Pneumonia». Recurrent attacks of pneumonia have occurred frequently over the past 3 years, and for this reason, he has received antibacterial therapy many times
in outpatient and inpatient settings. Has not had COVID-19, TB has been ruled out. When the
patient came to our clinic, the presence of signs of chronic hypoxia (cyanosis, fingers in the
form of «sticks»), SpO2-86% (with oxygen), the vital volume of the lungs in the spirogram –
1850 ml, the tension of the right parts of the heart in the ECG, the reticular pattern of the
lungs due to the diffuse deformation of the interstitial tissue in the X-ray increase was noted.
Based on the above-mentioned symptoms of the disease, the patient was diagnosed with
«Idiopathic alveolitis of the lungs» and steroid therapy and calcium antagonists were added
to the treatment measures. As a result of this treatment, the patient’s condition improved significantly and he was sent home to outpatient observation in a stable condition. The features
and principles of treatment of this rare disease are shown on the example of a clinical case
covered in the article.
