Abstract
Material and methods. The results of a study of 85 patients with extensive thermal trauma treated at the
Samarkand City Medical Association in 2018-2020 were studied. The first group consisted of 45 (53%)
burned patients who had the development of acute gastroduodenal complications in the first 7 days after
the injury; the second group consisted of 40 (47%) victims whose burn disease proceeded without the
development of acute gastroduodenal complications.
Results. Acute gastroduodenal complications developed in 57.8% of cases with late hospitalization and
delayed initiation of intensive care more than 12 hours after the moment of thermal injury. In the group
with a total burn area of less than 40%, the development of acute gastroduodenal complications was
42.2% less. At the 2nd week of burn disease, acute gastroduodenal complications develop 1.5 times more
often in patients with a deep burn area of more than 10% of the body surface. In burned patients, in whom
the Franc index was more than 130 units, acute gastroduodenal complications developed 9 times more
often than among the victims, in whom this indicator was less than 70 units.
Conclusions. The application of 7 parameters as the main prognostic criteria of the proposed prognosis scale
for the development of acute gastroduodenal complications in severely burned patients is substantiated.
