The frequency of traumatic kidney injuries is relatively low and in the general structure of
mechanical injuries ranges from 1.4 to 3.2%. Kidney injuries in 80–95% of cases are combined with damage to other organs and systems. In hemodynamically stable patients, contrastenhanced CT is considered the «gold standard» for diagnosing renal injury. In the treatment
of these injuries over the past decades, along with conservative therapy, endovascular embolization and reembolization are also becoming more and more common. Indications for
emergency open surgery are cases of unstable hemodynamics against the background of ongoing bleeding from kidney damage, as well as injury to the organ of the V degree.
