Abdominal aortic aneurysm complicated by aorto-small intestinal fistula

A case from practice is presented: a 79-year-old patient was admitted to the Namangan branch of the RSCEMP with a clinic of gastrointestinal bleeding. The diagnosis was established as
«Dissecting aneurysm of the abdominal aorta (type II according to A.V. Pokrovsky), complicated by an aorto-small intestinal fistula». Laparotomy, opening and revision of the retroperitoneal space, elimination of the aorto-small intestinal fistula, suturing of the defect of the
small intestine, aortofemoral prosthetics were performed. The results of the operation were
recognized as good. The patient was re-examined in 3.5 months. He does not complain.
