Abstract

Aim. To study the advantages of тemporary wound covering (ТWC) in the surgical treatment
of deep burn injuries of the face and neck.
Material and methods. 210 patients treated with deep burn injuries of the face and neck in
2010–2022 at the Department of Combustiology of the Samarkand branch of RSCEM were
divided into 2 groups, and the results of their treatment were studied. Early necrectomy and
(ТWC) «Parapran» were applied to deep burn wounds in the face and neck in 108 (51,4%)
patients of the main group. The age of the patients ranged from 4 months to 70 years, the
average age was 20±3,0 years.
Results. When applying the Parapran тemporary wound covering to patients of the main
group, granulation of the face and neck areas in a deep burn wound was achieved on the
12th–14th day, the wound was clean in a short time, skin grafting was performed on the 14th17th day after the injury, the treatment time of patients was reduced from 28,5±2,4 days to
21,5±1,5 days, complications after surgical treatment decreased from 62,7% to 24,1%.
