A new method for endoscopic treatment of ulcer bleeding using powdered drugs
Abstract
A device for spraying a powdered drug through an endoscope is described. The device is used to deliver a
medical drug in powder form to hollow organs; it consists of an air flow generator, an air supply tube, a container
for sprayed powder, connected to a powder sprayer. An inhalation compressor is used as an air flow generator,
connected to a powder sprayer via an air supply hose, and a double-port, single-channel biliary catheter is used
as a powder sprayer, connected through one port to an air supply hose, through another port via connecting
catheter connected to a container for spray powder. The device is easy to assemble and disassemble, and its
components are available in any clinic. Thus, simple and inexpensive delivery of medical hemostatic powder to
the target area is ensured
