Abstract
Despite advancesin surgical technology, the occurrence of prolonged air leakage and problems of hemostasis following various type lung surgeries remain frequent com-plications. In this regard, there is a need to develop new forms of domestic composite materials that contribute to the elimination of pneumorrhea and parenchymal bleed-ing from lung tissue during video-assisted thoracoscopy (VATS) with experimental and 41Shoshilinch tibbiyot axborotnomasi, 2020, 13-tom, 1–2-sonmorphological substantiation of both the safety of their use and effectiveness in terms of achieving complete tightness of the damaged area after the application of a biological implant. The research material was the new composite material «Geprocel» in the form of a gel based on local raw materials to achieve aerostasis in case of lung damage. Studies have shown that with wound damage to the lung tissue, the application of a composite material in the form of a gel during VATS interventions can improve the tightness of primary sutures from 71.4% to 85.7%, respectively, reduce the likelihood of additional sutures from 28.6% to 14.3%, and generally improve the efficiency of minimally invasive surgeries with a decrease in the frequency of postoperative manifestations of aero- and hemostasis problems from 19.0% to 9.1%Published
