EVACUATION BY AIR TRANSPORT IN CASE OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS OF THE CHEST (LITERATURE REVIEW)

Abstract

Gunshot wounds of the chest are characterized by the severity of injuries and high mortality, which requires the provision of surgical care as soon as possible. In modern local conflicts proceeding with significant
destruction of urban infrastructure, an important place in the delivery of the wounded to the stage of
hospital care is occupied by air transport. To date, there are no uniform generally accepted criteria for
assessing the transportability of the wounded by air.
