CURRENT VIEWS ON THE PROBLEMS OF BURN WOUNDS LOCAL TREATMENT

Abstract

The issues of modern tactics of burn wounds local treatment using various medications and temporary
wound coverings were reviewed by the authors. Despite a variety of modern dressings for local treatment
of burn wounds, the specialists are not yet fully satisfied with results. The development and widespread
introduction into clinical practice, contribute to the improvement of treatment results in this category of
patients. The use of temporary wound coverings reduces the recovery process, being the most physiologically acceptable coverings of the wound burn surface, achieving their main goal – early formation of
granulation tissue, reduction of secondary inflammatory processes. The effectiveness of local treatment
of burn wounds depends on the timely and correct choice of drugs depending on the phase of the wound
process.
