SUCCESSFUL BRONCHOSCOPIC REMOVAL OF A LARGE METALLIC FOREIGN BODY FROM THE TRACHEOBRONCHIAL TREE
Abstract
The possibilities of video bronchoscopy are shown when removing a large metallic foreign body localized in the
trachea and the left main bronchus, which could not be extracted using a rigid bronchoscope. A metallic foreign
body in the tracheobronchial tree was in the patient for 11 days, later treatment was due to partial obturation
and ignoring of clinical manifestations by the patient himself until the development of a picture of respiratory
failure and pain syndrome.
