COMBINED DAMAGE TO THE STOMACH, DUODENUM, PANCREAS AND AORTA WITH ABDOMINAL INJURY
Abstract
The case of successful surgical treatment of a 22-year-old woman with abdominal injury with combined
damage to the stomach, duodenum, pancreas and aorta is presented. The patient underwent autopsy and
removal of a strained retroperitoneal hematoma, suturing of a defect of the abdominal aorta, through
wounds of the pyloroantral part of the stomach and the lower horizontal part of the duodenum, suturing
of a wound of the pancreas and mesentery of the transverse colon. Additionally, an anterior gastroenteroanastomosis was applied with a Brownian anastomosis, with a Shalimov plug of the DPC. The success of
the operation was facilitated by the rapid diagnosis of vascular damage and stopping bleeding.
