Abstract

Abstract. The article provides information on the relevance of the problem of treating acute liver failure.
The main etiological factors and the general concept of pathogenesis are reflected according to the modern
achievements of hepatology. An imbalance in the immune system is considered as one of the main links in
the pathogenesis of acute liver failure. At the same time, cell therapy is presented as a promising direction
in the treatment of severe acute liver damage. The article specifies the possibilities of using hepatocyte
transplantation in liver failure.
